Built Around The Club

Golfers walking on a lush green golf course.

Your Club Has a Story. We Believe It Deserves to Be Preserved.

9-Iron Studios was built around a simple belief: the most meaningful parts of a private club aren't always the most obvious ones.

They're found in the traditions members look forward to every year, the relationships formed over decades, the familiar faces around the clubhouse, and the moments that quietly become part of a club's history.

Our purpose is to recognize those moments—and preserve them.

Our Philosophy

We don't believe great club photography should simply document what happened - it should capture what it felt like to be there.

That means looking beyond the expected photographs to the interactions, personalities, traditions, and atmosphere that give each club its own identity.

The result is imagery with value today—and meaning long after the season ends.

Built on Trust

Being invited inside a private club comes with a responsibility.

Members should never feel as though a production has taken over their experience. Club leadership should never have to worry about how our team will conduct itself around members and guests.

Our approach is polished, prepared, discreet, and unobtrusive.

We learn the rhythm of the club, anticipate the moments that matter, and work within the environment rather than interrupting it.

Because the best compliment we can receive isn't that we were everywhere - it's that the moments were captured beautifully without anyone feeling like we were.

Why Private Clubs?

Because a private club is more than a place to play golf.

It's a community with its own traditions, personalities, relationships, and history. That culture can't be recreated with generic event coverage. It has to be understood.

By specializing in private clubs, we're able to approach every assignment with an appreciation for the environment, the member experience, and the traditions we're being trusted to document.

Why Legacy?

Because photographs become more valuable with time.

A championship photograph matters today. Years from now, it becomes part of the club's history. A portrait of a longtime member, a candid moment between generations, a familiar face behind the scenes—these images may seem ordinary in the moment. Eventually, they become irreplaceable.

That's why our work isn't only about creating imagery for today's marketing or communications - it's about creating a visual record of the club that can be carried forward.

Because the round ends.

The legacy doesn't have to.

Founder & Lead Photographer

Denis founded 9-Iron Studios with a vision of creating something beyond traditional golf event photography—a studio dedicated to documenting the culture, traditions, and people that make private clubs distinctive.

His approach is built around anticipation, discretion, and an understanding that the member experience always comes first.

Having spent years photographing events and working within private-club environments, Denis has developed a documentary style centered on authentic moments rather than manufactured ones.

For him, the goal isn't simply to create beautiful photographs. It's to create a body of work that becomes more meaningful to a club with every passing season.
